On October, 9th, 2014, on the birth-anniversary of Nicholas Roerich the photo exhibition prepared by the International Centre of the Roerichs in cooperation with the International Roerich Memorial Trust was presented to the guests at the IRMT Exhibition Hall. The exhibition was solemnly opened by the Minister-Counselor of the RF Embassy in India Denis Alipov and the Executive Secretary, the ICR Board member Pavel Zhuravikhin. The display includes archive photos, informational banners and reproductions of the Master’s paintings and tells about the major stages of Nicholas Roerich’s life path.

"Rabindranath Tagore – Indian Culture Messenger" lecture was readin a district library in St.Petersburg, Russia. The lecture is within the "R.Tagore – Indian Culture Messenger" exhibition, which has been made by the St.Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs through support of the Consulate General of India in St.Petersburg.
Tatyana Aleksandrova, a SPB ICR lecturer, presented the lecture which was followed with a video-presentation showing photos and documents about life and creative work of the greatest son of India Rabindranath Tagore. Rabindranath Tagore, a Nobel Prize laureate, a poet and playwright, a composer and an artist, an outstanding public figure brought Indian Culture to the West in the XX century. Rabindranath Tagore’s poetry, music and cultural work greatly influenced the Indian fight for independence and contributed to revival of the national spirit of India.
The audience heartedly greeted the story about one of the greatest Indian outstanding figures. |

In the exhibition hall of the city public organization "Angarsk Roerich Society" there was held a solemn opening of the exhibition of photographs devoted to the distinguished cultural worker of India - Rabindranath Tagore. Helena V.Kucheryavenko, a lector of the St.Petersburg Branch of the Internationl Center of the Roerichs, has made a lecture with a video-presentation about M.Gandhi’s childhood, his studies in England, his solicitor work in Africa, his correspondence with Leo Tolstoy, which influenced greatly on his philosophy and Satyāgraha movement. |
