St. Petersburg Branch of the International Center of the Roerichs is a structural subdivision of the International Public Organization “The International Center of the Roerichs” (ICR, Moscow).

St. Petersburg Branch of the International Center of the Roerichs has been working since 1991.

Principal aims of the St.Petersburg Branch activity are:

• research, preservation and popularization of the Roerichs creative heritage;

•encouragement of personality perfection progress, realization of high Roerich’s ideas of humanism and peace, assistance in perception and comprehension of universal cultural values;

•thorough development and deepening of international mutual understanding and cooperation, extension of cultural and scientific relations on the basis of the Roerich’s ideas;

•activity in strengthening mutual understanding, friendship and harmony between the peoples, popularization of the Roerich Pact and the Banner of Peace ideas.

To realize the aims the St.Petersburg Branch

provides wide cultural and enlightening, public and scientific activity in accordance with the Roerich concepts , programs of the International Center of the Roerichs and principal tasks of the Branch Charter;
holds conferences, seminars, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, festivals, theater events, excursions, theme expeditions;
introduces philosophic, scientific, world-outlook and other knowledge, given in the Living Ethics, in the Roerich Family works, knowledge given by Helena Blavatsky and other thinkers, scientists and culture workers, enlighteners, devotees and humanists of the past and present to public community;
researches the St. Petersburg period of the Roerichs life and activity;
contributes to preservation and resurrection of monuments of culture, art and science, religion and historical places of St. Petersburg and its region, of monuments connected with the Family’s life and activity;
organizes cooperation between creative people of different art, science, religion, medicine, ecology and other fields of knowledge to realize programs and projects in Russia as well as abroad in accordance with the aims of the Branch activity.

St. Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs cooperates with educational, scientific and cultural institutions, public organizations of St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, various cities of Russia and foreign countries.
Various projects, including interregional and international, the Branch is doing with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region and their specialized Committees; with the support of a number of Consulates General in St. Petersburg.
For many years the St.Petersburg Branch cooperates with the Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg and the International Memorial Roerich Trust in Naggar (Roerich Estate, District Kullu, State of Himachal Pradesh, India).
