On May 1, in continuation of the Russian-Indian Spring Roerich Festival of Culture, the International Roerich Memorial Trust held an academic seminar “Helena Roerich. Facets of Creativity” dedicated to the 140th Birth Anniversary of Helena Roerich.

In 2019, the anniversary year of the Roerichs, the traditional India-Russia Spring Culture Festival at the International Roerich Memorial Trust was titled “Helena Roerich: the unique thinker, writer, philosopher”. The Festival was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the outstanding Russian woman whose creative heritage and most extensive spiritual experience made a truly invaluable contribution to the treasure house of world culture.

The opening of the traditional Indo-Russian festival of culture in the Roerich Estate in Naggar was marked with the celebration of children's and youth’s creativity.

The International Day of Culture at the Roerichs' estate in Naggar was marked by the opening of the International Art Exhibition Project “Art Expedition-2019. Himalayas”, organized by the International Roerich Memorial Trust in cooperation with the St. Petersburg Centre for Humanitarian Programs.

On 8 March, this wonderful spring day, in the Conference hall of the IMRT a photo exhibition was opened. The exhibition is dedicated to the amazing women of the Roerich family, Helena Roerich, an outstanding thinker, companion and inspirer of the Russian artist Nicholas Roerich, and Devika Rani – a wife, muse and assistant of the youngest son Svetoslav Roerich.

A gala opening of “Mahatma Gandhi – A Great Soul of India” exhibition in the State Institute of Economics, Law, Finance and Technologies, Gatchina, Leningrad Region, took place on February, 20th, 2019. The exhibition is devoted to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The exhibition is a joint project of the Consulate General of India in St.Petersburg and St.Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs.

On February, 12, 2019, the “Indian Mosaic” International Fectival was opened in the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. The organizers were: the St.Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, The Embassy of the Republic of India in RF, The Consulate General of the Republic of India in St.Petersburg, the International Memorial Trust of the Roerichs, The St.Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs, The Kerala Art College, India, the International Children and Youth Festival “Russia-India: from Heart to Heart” and others.
