19.04.2017 Festivities dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the Roerich Pact took place in the Himalayan Roerich Estate in Naggar

On Sunday, April 16, festivities dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the Roerich Pact – the first international treaty for the protection of world cultural heritage – took place in the Himalayan Roerich Estate in Naggar. The main participants of the celebrations were students of the Helena Roerich Academy of Arts for Children managed by the International Roerich Memorial Trust, and the artists whose exhibition opened on that gala day in the IRMT Exhibition Hall.

11.04.2017 International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee

The International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee expresses its strong protest against the violent and destructive actions of a number of law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the State Museum of Oriental Art, that took place on 7-8 March 2017 under false pretenses, for the purpose of seizing property – the Roerichs’ heritage – from the International non-governmental organization "International Centre of the Roerichs" (ICR) established on the initiative of the outstanding artist, scientist, philosopher and public figure, the citizen of India, Svetoslav Roerich.
