On the revocation of banking license of OAO (JSC) Master Bank by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on 20 November 2013, mass media started prosecuting and casting slurs upon its head Boris Ilyich Bulochnik, who for 20 years has been the Maecenas of the public Museum named after N.K. Roerich. The International Roerich Centre hasn't made any official statements on this issue yet, because the developments were quick and sudden and it takes some time to analyze and think them over. Before long the ICR will make an official statement on the case.

«India by My Eyes» Contest winners (2nd and 3rd prizes), St.Petersburg and Leningrad Region, were awarded with prizes on December, 13th, 2013 in the Children Library of History and Culture of St.Petersbrug (Marata, 72).

The morning session of the third day of the international scientific and public conference “Problems of Russian Cosmism” began under the chairmanship of Mr V.G. Sokolov, senior researcher, PhD.

The morning session of the second day of the conference was held under the chairmanship of V.G. Sokolov and included the following reports: “Russian Cosmism and the Teaching of H. Blavatsky" by Yulia A. Shabanova, Doctor of Philosophy (Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine); "Cosmism of F. Tyutchev's poetry and the philosophy of the Living Ethics: concordant motives” by Bogdana Y. Sokolova, Candidate of Cultural Studies (Kharkov, Ukraine); «Banner of Peace is a symbol of the Cosmic evolution», by Anatoly A. Lebedenko, Candidate of Education, Candidate of Philosophy (Moscow); «Role of magnetism in the evolution of human consciousness», Helena M. Egorova – Doctor of Chemistry (Moscow); «Cultural heritage of the Orient is a source of cosmisation in the modern Occidental science.

On 30 September – 4 October 2013 the International Centre of the Roerichs took part in the 15th International Conference of National Trusts “Our heritage, our future. Cultural Diversity for Responsible Development” in Entebbe, Uganda.

On October 9, 2013 the halls of the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich were opened for participants of the International scientific and public conference “Problems of Russian Cosmism”. Scientists and public activists from Russia and abroad took part in the forum.

This year the International day of Peace obtained status of a national holiday by the Decree of Ms Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, President of Argentina. It is celebrated on September 21st. Delegation of the International Centre of the Roerichs headed by Mr Alexander Stetsenko, First deputy Director General of the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich, was invited by a local NGO “Mil Milenios de la Paz” to participate in the event.
