On the 14th of January, the International Centre of Roerichs (ICR) held a news conference for Russian and foreign journalists under the title "The Year of Culture in Russia: does Russia need the Non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich?" A couple of dozens of print and on-line mass media representatives were accredited.

«India by My Eyes» Contest winners (2nd and 3rd prizes), St.Petersburg and Leningrad Region, were awarded with prizes on December, 13th, 2013 in the Children Library of History and Culture of St.Petersbrug (Marata, 72).

Under the Open Letter of cultural activists, scientists, and public figures to Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, in defense of the public Museum named after Nicholas Roerich and the International Centre of the Roerichs, the process of signatures collecting is launched on the following web site https://www.change.org/ru  at the initiative of the community (download the Open letter ).

The opening of the exhibition "The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of signing of the first international Treaty on the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments took place on November 21 in Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Santiago. The exhibition is a part of the international exhibition project implemented by the International Centre of the Roerichs (Moscow) under the auspices of UNESCO and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

On 22 of November, 2013, at the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin was inaugurated the exhibition " Roerich Pact. History and Modernity ", arranged by the International Center of the Roerichs Centre together with the International Roerichs' Heritage Preservation Committee. The exhibition is devoted to the international Treaty "On the Protection of Artistic and Scientific Institutions and Historic Monuments" historically known as the Roerich Pact . The Maecenas of the exhibition became the Master Bank.
