 “Cosmic World Outlook: Origin, Problems, Prospects of Development” Round Table took place in the Scientist’s Club by the name of M.Gorky (The Russian Academy of Scientists) on December, 1st , 2010 in St.Petersburg.

The Round table was in the frames of a monthly seminar held by Chair of Ontology and Theory of Knowledge of Faculty of Philosophy, St.Petersburg State University. Well-known scientists and scholars from Moscow and St.Petersburg who study important philosophic questions such as Russian cosmism and cosmic reality philosophy “Living Ethics” were interested in the Round table theme.

The meeting was opened by Lipsky Boris, doctor of philosophy, professor, head of the Chair of Ontology and Theory of Knowledge of  Faculty of Philosophy, St.Petersburg State University. He noted the importance of the Round table theme. The following organizations took part in the Round table: Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (the International Centre of the Roerichs, Moscow), the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, St.Petersburg, FINEC ( St.Petersburg State University of Finance and Economics). Brodsky Akexey, doctor of philosophy, a professor of Russian philosophy history Chair of Faculty of Philosophy, State University (St.Petersburg).

Presentation of Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM) was held by Lebedenko Anatoly, candidate of pedagogics, candidate of philosophy, deputy head of JRCPCM’unit. He spoke about aims and tasks, structure and principal directions of JRCPCM activity, JRCPCM unites a lot of famous scientists from various sciences, education spheres and art. The  Chair of Ontology and Theory of Knowledge of  Faculty of Philosophy, St.Petersburg State University, was given several books as a present, including two volumes of scientific works of the JRCPCM, published by the International Centre of the Roerichs.

Ovsyankina G.P., doctor of arts, professor of  Chair of Musical Education and Upbringing, Russian State Herzen University; Chiryatyev M.N., vice-president of the International League for Protection of Culture, adviser of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences; Masloboyeva P.D., cand.phil., senior lecturer  of Chair of Philosophy, FINEC; Zaytstev D.F., cand.phil., senior lecturer of Chair of Philosophy the Herzen Ubiversity; Afanasyeva A.B., cand.of arts, senior lecturer of Chair of Art Education of Child, the Herzen University made speeches in the Round table.

The Round table participants showed great interest in the discussion, asked a lot of questions to the speakers. The participants decided to continue the seminar meetings in future in the Scientists’ Club by the name of M.Gorky, Dvorstovaya embankment, 26.
