The "Rabindranath Tagore - Indian Culture Messenger" exhibition in the “Zvyezdny” College, St.Petersburg, RF








From November 14, 2016 the "Rabindranath Tagore - Indian Culture Messenger" exhibition - a joint project of Consulate General of India in St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg Branch of the International Center of the Roerichs has been exhibited at the professional Lyceum of technology and design "Zvezdny" in St.Petersburg, RF.

The exhibition tells about the creative work of Rabindranath Tagore: the Nobel prize winner and a world-famous poet of India, a writer and a playwright, a composer and an artist, a prominent international public figure.

Rabindranath Tagore’s creative work discovered the Indian culture to the West.

The exhibition is based on photographs of R. Tagore’s life and on reproductions of Rabindranath Tagore’s paintings from the funds and private collections of India; the photos and paintings show rich life of the great humanist of the twentieth century.

The exhibition is open until the end of December, 2016.
