30.04.2014 The opening of the new semester in the Academy of Arts for children named after Helena Roerich

A new semester in the Academy of Arts for children named after Helena Roerich opened in the International Roerich Memorial Trust, in a new spacious house, which belonged some time to Colonel Osborn. The building is situated on a mountain slope, a little bit lower than the Urusvati Institute; one can enjoy a wonderful view of Naggar, the Beas River and the Kullu Valley surrounded by Himalayas. The Osborn House was bought by the Roerich Trust around 10 years ago and was not in use for a long time. This year, it was repaired to admit children to classes of painting, Indian classical dance, music and singing.

27.04.2014 «The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity» continues in the Peace Palace in The Hague

The exhibition is held literally under the Banner of Peace, the distinguishing mark of the Roerich Pact. The day before the Banner of Peace was solemnly presented to the director of the Carnegie Foundation Mr. Steven van Hogstraten. And now it is flapping above the Peace Palace along with the UN banner. Their juxtaposition clearly shows the international recognition of Nicholas Roerich's contribution to the effort of cultural heritage preservation.

It is the first ever conference dedicated to the study of the Kailas Phenomenon. The Conference was organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs and the Kailas Phenomenon Research Group (Russia).

The exhibition “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” opened on 15th of April. The exhibition is organized with the support of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Netherlands and direct involvement of Mr. Jeroen Vervliet, Director of the Peace Palace Library, one of the world's largest collections in the field of public international law. It is noteworthy that the exhibition opening took place on the day of signing of the historic document 79 years ago.

The grand opening ceremony of the exhibition project “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs (ICR) and International Roerichs' Heritage Preservation Committee took place in Novokuznetsk Art Museum on March 6, 2014. The co-organizers of the project were: Novokuznetsk City Administration, Novokuznetsk Art Museum, Novokuznetsk city Roerich Society, National Museum of the Roerich Family of the D.Likhachev's Library.
