“The Roerichs Creative Heritage as a Basis for New Cosmic Outlook” - A cycle of lectures of the Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM, Moscow) held in the Lecture Hall of the Russian National Library, St.Petersburg, 2011-2012
On October, 26th , 2011 in the Lecture Hall of the Russian National Library in St.Petersburg there was opened a cycle of lectures on the theme: “The Roerichs Creative Heritage as a Basis for New Cosmic Outlook”. The lectures are held by the Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM, Moscow).
More than 70 people: students, scientists, school and university teachers came to listen to Victor V.Frolov, the assistant director on scientific research of the ICR, Moscow, doctor of philosophy and professor. The event started with video-presentation about the International Center-Museum of the Roerichs in Moscow, its history and present day cultural activities. Several books and journal issues published by the ICR were presented as a gift to the Russian National Library of St.Petersburg.
Dr.Victor V.Frolov in his lecture “New Cosmic Thinking and its Peculiarities” spoke about two main themes: “Living Ethics and the Roerichs” and “A Man is A Part of Cosmos”. He described the Cosmic Laws of Evolution and some peculiarities of cosmic thinking that are given in the Living Ethics, the philosophy of cosmic reality.
Anatoliy A.Lebedenko, assistant of the department head of the JRCPCM showed a video-presentation about the Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM, Moscow). He spoke about history of the Joint Research Center, its activities and cooperation with outstanding world scientists and research units. The activities and scientific programs include a scientific program “Science and Metascience”, “Children of New Consciousness”, “the Urusvati Institute” Program (Himachal Pradesh State, India) and others.
Dr.Victor V.Frolov presented the cultural and artistic journal “Culture and Time”, published by the ICR, described the issues enlightened in the journal and stressed that the editorial board of the Journal is open to future cooperation with scientists and art workers of the world. The lecturers also spoke about collections of works of the Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM, Moscow) devoted to the defense of the Roerich’s name and heritage (5 books have been already published); they mentioned various events such as scientific seminars and international conferences held by the Joint Research Center of Problems of Cosmic Mind (JRCPCM, Moscow).
