The new NGO – the Committee for the Preservation of the Roerichs' Heritage – was founded in Moscow

On December 3, 2012 the new organization "The Committee for the Preservation of the Roerichs' Heritage" was registered by the Ministry of Justice of Russia.

The Committee was founded to implement the Resolution of the International Scientific and Public Conference "The 75 Anniversary of the Roerich Pact" which was held in the Museum named after Nicholas Roerich in Moscow on October 11, 2010. The Committee Meeting of Founders was held on October 12, 2012.

The Committee founders are the International Centre of the Roerichs, The All-Russian Society for Protection of Memorials of History and Culture, as well as such well-known Russian and foreign public activists as: A.A. Avdeev, A.P. Losyukov, L.V. Shaposhnikova, A. Fedotov (Bulgaria), M. Koutsarova (Bulgaria), M.T. Dutli (Switzeland), J. Sharma (India), P. Sharma (India), and others.
Mr. Alexander Losyukov, renowned Russian diplomat, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador (retired) was elected as the Committee President.   

Mr. F. Cede, Ambassador od Austria in Russia (retired), representative of Mr. Karl von Habsburg, President of the Association of the National Committees of the Blue Shield, and Mrs. L. Stroble, President of the Austrian Roerich Society, member of the Board of the Austrian National Committee of the Blue Shield, took part in the Meeting as observers.

The new NGO activity will focus on the preservation of the Roerichs' Heritage for future generations.

Mr. Alexander Losyukov, renowned Russian diplomat, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador (retired) was elected as the Committee President.
