A Gala event in commemoration of 130th birth anniversary of Helena Roerich took place in the Derzhavin museum, St.Petersburg, RF.

The organizers were: St.Petersburg Branch of the International Centre of the Roerichs and Derzhavin Museum. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the museum; the cultural and scientific  public was present.  Vavilina, honored worker of culture, head of the Home Theatre of the Derzhavin Museum greeted the participants of the meeting, she expressed her admiration of Helena Roerich, remembered the process of creation of the Roerich Estate museum in Izvara. She noted that joint events done by the SPBranch of the ICR and Derzhavin Museum have become good cultural tradition.

The themes of the meetings were: “Helena Roerich’s thoughts on new science”, “Role of scientific “explosion” in Russia of XX century for the XXI century science”, Christ Teaching in Helena Roerich’s life” and others.  Helena Roerich’s favorite music was played: Rakhmaninov S. and Vagner R.
