Publisher department issued third volume of the complete collection of letters by Helena Roerich, an outstanding Russian thinker, writer and devotee. The complete collection of letters from Manuscript Department of the International Centre of the Roerichs, includes letters dated 1935 addressed mainly to Nicholas and George Roerich, who at that time were members of Manchurian expedition, to the members of the Roerichs Museum in New-York as well as to the members of Latvian Roerich Society.

Shaposhnikova, the first Vice-President of the International Centre of the Roerichs, the founder of the Public Museum by name of N. K.Roerich and its General Director, academician, honoured art worker of the Russian Federation.

Roerich Culture Festival Continues in the International Roerich Memorial Trust in India

October 9, the day when the world celebrated the 142nd anniversary of Nicholas Roerich, the Maharishi as this Russian artist is reverently called in India, attracted scores of guests and tourists from India, Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Greece, the Netherlands and other countries. As per the tradition, the festivities opened with the shanti puja, the traditional prayer for world peace and wellbeing, conducted on the cremation spot of Nicholas Roerich near his Memorial Stone from where one can see the snow-capped twin peaks of Gepang. After the puja, the Russian and Indian national flags and the Banner of Peace were hoisted near the Roerich House in a solemn ceremony symbolizing the lasting friendship and ever strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

In Vienna (Austria), in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, on 15 – 16 September, 2016, there was held the international scientific and public conference "the Relevance of Scientific, Artistic and Philosophical Heritage of the Roerich Family in the Modern World", dedicated to the memory of Lyudmila V. Shaposhnikova, the first Vice-President of the International Centre of the Roerichs, academician, honoured art worker of the Russian Federation, the Director General and founder of the Public Museum by name of N.K. Roerich. The conference participants from several countries of Europe and Russia, discussed international cooperation in the protection of the world cultural heritage; the cooperation being based on the ideas of N.K.Roerich’s Pact and Banner of Peace, as well as on his "Peace through Culture" idea to meet modern challenges.

On April 15, 2016 the non-governmental Museum named after Nicholas Roerich of the International Centre of the Roerichs hosted the gala evening dedicated to the 81th anniversary of the Roerich Pact. The Roerich Pact, also known as Treaty on protection of artistic and scientific institutions and historic monuments, was initiated by the Great Russian artist and public figure Nicholas Roerich. This is the first-ever international treaty on the protection of cultural heritage establishing the priority of protection of cultural values over military necessity, signed by representatives of 21 states on April 15, 1935 in Washington.
